A longtime friend of Wizard Academy, Vess Barnes said “You really need to pave this driveway,” one time too many. So we ordered 200 yards of cement to pave the driveway and then told Vess that he would have the honor of paying for it. Vess said, “Okay.”
Here’s the Vesster at home with his wife, Cindy, and their 3 kids.
Here’s Vess at the pouring of the Chapel Dulcinea foundation on January 29, 2005. With him are John from Tulsa, Jane and Scott from Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Steve from Australia.
Wizard Academy attracts a fascinating crowd. You really ought to become part of it.
April 23, 2005, immediately following the sunset dedication of the newly completed Chapel Dulcinea, Vess Barnes holds a flashlight for the sponsor of one of the copper gaslights as she engraves her name. If you’re ever at the chapel, take a look at the copper light on the NW corner, next to the belltower, and read the name engraved there.
Below is a photo of Vess Barnes on a Bad Hair Day as he compares cameras with adjunct faculty member Adrian Van Zelfden. Boys will be boys.
In case you were wondering what Vess Barnes does for a living, he owns Barnes Jewelry, one of America’s most important jewelry stores.
