Remember? Dorothy’s last name was Gale. She lived with Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. The Wizard, you will remember, also came to Oz in a balloon, the very balloon he hoped to use to get Dorothy back to Kansas. But Toto jumped out of the balloon as it was about to lift off, forcing Dorothy to run after him and miss her ride. So she took the ruby red slipper shortcut. Dorothy woke up back in her bed with a rag on her head in a drab old black-and-white world. Her full-color adventure was over. Even the shoes were gone.
