The “Great Scott!” Tom McDowell joins our own
Brother Brittington in this re-imagining of ABBA’s Fernando.
Most people sing this song never realizing it’s the song of a grieving friend
who lost his buddy, Fernando, in a battle long ago…
You really ought to download the whole album that Brittington crafted after being encouraged by the wizard and me. (Mostly me, really.)
Originally titled ‘Hernandez’, the last-minute change to the name ‘Fernando’ was made after it was suggested by ABBA’s limousine driver, Peter Forbes in Sheparton, England. Fernando was to become ABBA’s biggest selling single of all time, selling 6,000,000 copies in 1976 alone.
