Do you remember the PS that Wizzo added
to the end of last week’s MMMemo?
“Though I am not much of a Tweeter and pay little attention to my Facebook account, I love to see something I’ve written neatly bitly’d and shared around the Twittersphere, even when I know — now, for instance — that the verdict of the crowd will be hostile.”
– Bill Keller, executive editor of The New York Times, May 18, 2011
Bill Keller was right. And I think perhaps Wizzo quoted him because he, too, knew, “the verdict of the crowd would be hostile” to his Monday Morning Memo questioning the ability of Facebook and Twitter to replace mass media advertising for traditional retail and service businesses.
