dyslexic
agnostic
insomniac:
a person who
lies awake all night
wondering

Follow the Money.
In the Monday Morning Memo of December 2,
the wizard quoted Matthew’s and Luke’s quote of Jesus:
“Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
One interpretation
of this would be,
“Follow the money
and it will lead you to the truth.”
TRUTH:
Last year’s payroll for the Philadelphia Phillies, a baseball team,
was 18 million dollars more than the annual budget for
America’s National Endowment for the Arts.
Evidently, we value games and activities
more than we value feelings and thoughts.
At least that’s what the money says.
But what are “Arts”?
When human beings communicate
thoughts and feelings to one another,
they employ one or more of the arts.
Nouns and verbs make us see and feel things.
The art of language is the study of phonemes and meter.
Paintings and sculpture and illustrations make us see and feel things.
The graphic arts are the studies of shapes and colors and symbols.
Music and dance make us see and feel things.
Pitch, key, tempo, contour, interval and rhythm
underlie the performance arts.
Each of these is celebrated, studied and taught
at Wizard Academy. We think of ourselves as a business school
because communication lies at the heart of commerce.
What are architecture and automotive design
but expressions of sculpture in business?
Each of us is attracted by certain combinations of
colors and shapes and the ideas those combinations represent.
Wizard Academy is a school for
the imaginative, the courageous and the ambitious.
