This Orin Swift blend from Spain is made from Garnacha, Tempranillo, Monastrell and Cariñena grapes. The vines are all 60 to 100 years old.

It’s called Locations E-2 Spanish Red Blend.

Single vineyard wines are like original paintings. The artist’s effort either paid off or it didn’t. There is no forgiveness, no chance to make it better. But a blend is a like creating a piece of art in Photoshop; you can continue to mess with it until you get it just like you want it to be.

If you’re looking for good flavor for cheap, a blend is often the way to go.

Jeffrey and Mia heard slightly different music when they tasted this wine. They heard Daniel Lanois singing O Marie. “Both the wine and the song are controlled – tight – yet mellow. They have forward momentum like a march. The voice of each has a rich smooth-smokey darkness, but a bright top-note.”
