Jan, the two ravens are a mated pair. Hugin is the male on the left. Munin is the female on the right. She sometimes calls him “Rafters.” They were speaking accented English mixed with Swedish. I didn’t understand all the words, but Hugin seemed to be complaining about not wanting to be “ärende löpare för Odin,” anymore. At one point Hugin said Odin could “kyss min fjädrade rumpa,” which Google Translate tells me is Swedish for “kiss my feathered butt.” Trying to change the subject, Munin asked if he wanted to go to the Unkindness, which, judging from the context, seems to be a gathering of ravens. Hugin, still cranky, said he was tired of seeing all the young males fighting in an attempt to impress the young females. Then she she took a side-step and bumped him. When he looked at her, I think he knew she was flirting. She said, “It only annoys you because they are so bad at it.” And then she flew away and he flew away after her. I would like to have heard more, but, as you know, beagles can’t fly.
Aroo,
