The latest Radio INK just arrived; yours was the first article I read. Enjoyed your usage of the tiger metaphor and thought you might enjoy an additional (and most relevant) application.
During the recession of the mid-70s, our radio station sales department wore these buttons while making sales calls.
Gave us a chance to encourage advertisers to emulate the tiger. When someone brought up the recession, we acknowledged that the situation was challenging, but we intended to be the last to get swallowed up by it. Great morale booster and probably a sales booster as well.
