Do you remember a few weeks ago when I told you about an item at an obscure auction house that I believed to be “woefully undervalued?” As often happens, the bidders got scared when they reached the upper limit of the far-too-low auction house estimate and quit bidding en masse. It took just one bid for Wizzo to become the new owner.
It’s a bronze sculpture – one of a kind – sculpted more than a century ago by the legendary opera singer Enrico Caruso for his friend, the equally legendary symphony conductor, Arturo Toscanini. It is signed in the bronze, “Enrico Caruso, 1909”
You’ll see it the next time you’re on campus at Wizard Academy.
