“Girl in the Mirror” is an image of the classic, idealized female
painted by Louis Jambor, an American artist born in Hungary in 1884.
This painting failed to get an opening bid last week
at an auction in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Wizzo says idealized images sell better in a “Me” generational cycle.
And as we’re currently halfway to the zenith of a “We” cycle,
paintings like this one will grow increasingly less popular.
But they’ll start getting strong again in 2038.
Just sayin’.
