The Monday Morning Memo

If Wizard Academy is your school, Chapel Dulcinea is your chapel.
Below, a mom says “Thanks!”

Subject: recommendation

I just wanted to tell you that we so enjoyed the lovely wedding of my daughter at Chapel Ducinea and wanted to post a recommendation, but I see that the sight does not have a place to do that.

We thought the Chapel was a unique and beautiful experience and we are so glad someone told my daughter about it.  Even though we live in Dallas and she lives in Minnesota, everyone was glad to come to Austin to attend once they saw your website and read the inspiring story about it’s origin.  The fact that it is free means to us that anyone, no matter what their circumstances are, can celebrate their marriage in a beautiful and spiritual setting.  Bless you all, and thank you for your kindness.

Random Quote:

“The music for “Moon River” was written by Henry Mancini and the lyrics were written by Johnny Mercer, who grew up in Savannah, Georgia, picking huckleberries and watching the river roll by without a care.

Writing a song about those Southern summer days and gently flowing rivers, he incorporated “my huckleberry friend” as an homage to the carefree huckleberry-picking days of his youth.

Not known as a singer, Hepburn performs the song in the opening scene of Breakfast at Tiffany’s, singing sweetly, if sparingly, filling the screen with a romantic yearning for a simpler life.

Moon river, wider than a mile,
I’m crossing you in style some day.
Old dream maker, you heartbreaker,
Wherever you’re goin’, I’m goin’ your way.

Two drifters, off to see the world.
There’s such a lot of world to see.
We’re after the same rainbow’s end
Waitin’ ’round the bend,
My huckleberry friend,
Moon River, and me.

(The singer longs to take a journey with his or her huckleberry friend on Moon River.)

Moon River won Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the 1962 Grammy Awards. It has since been recorded by more than 500 artists.”
