Wizzo’s mom came for Thanksgiving. She lived in Barcelona for 6 years and is now headed back for a visit. During her time in Austin, she explained a little about flamenco dancing. She said flamenco is limited to the southern part of Spain and “The guitarist and the singer are considered to be as important as the dancer.”

This video shows some down-home flamenco until about 1:30 when the girls do exactly 60 seconds of very average tap dancing. Then it gets really interesting again at 2:30 when the singer begins wailing like he’s in pain. This guy can do the aroo.

Wizzo is 53 and this photo of his mom was taken only a few days ago. We should all look so good at 70-something. Wizzo’s mom will be listed among the 48 honorees who faces life fully Into the Wind.
