The wizard said,
“Before I begin, I want to make sure the mic is working.”

I walked over to the stand, looked out at the crowd, and said, “If your name is Michael, please stand up.”

Two dudes stood up.

I announced, “That concludes the mike check.”

And then I looked at the wizard and gave him a nod.
