This Rembrandt is perhaps the most interesting portrait ever painted of Jesus.
It’s called Pilgrims at Emmaus and it was purchased a hundred years ago by a man and his wife in Paris. Their mansion is now a museum called Musée Jacquemart-André. I took this photo with the wizard’s iPhone while he was looking at the painting. Look closely to the left of the table and you’ll see his face reflected in the sheen of the oil paints. He was wearing one of his Scottish caps. – Indy
